Kia Community

Serving Kia Dealers, Employees, Customers, Suppliers and Enthusiasts

Why a Kia Community?

Kia Motors America, Kia Dealers, Kia Suppliers and Kia Owners are each seen by most as a car company, a dealership, a business enterprise or just another person driving a Kia vehicle.... Yet when you get to know the people that work at each of these organizations, and who drive Kia vehicles you soon see that they are a community of people who are committed to their families, professions and believe in the products and services they provide. With so much happening online that involves consumer uploaded content and various social networks, several of us who have a stake in Kia's success decided to create an open online community for Kia customers, employees, suppliers and people who work for Kia everywhere to share their experiences, collective wisdom, insights and information about how to better enjoy owning the cars, trucks and SUVs that Kia makes and Kia dealerships sell and service...

Welcome to our Kia Community and we hope you will join, participate, enjoy and gain from it!

WELCOME TO THE KIA COMMUNITY

What's happening at Kia?
Kia Motors has been a leader in the automotive market when it comes to value and warranty, but its vehicles have always looked the part of affordable, economical transportation. Starting with the 2010 Kia Soul, the South Korean automaker is starting to incorporate inspiring, attractive designs into its new vehicles which appears to be an ongoing trend. Kia followed up the Soul with the stylish Kia Forte sedan and Kia Forte Koup, and its new design language is now moving into the more lucrative midsize crossover segment with the 2011 Kia Sorento. While the Soul and Forte are both new names to Kia, it decided to keep the Sorento name due to the ruggedness of the previous model, but as a sign of the major overhaul, there will be no 2010 model Sorento.

Set to hit dealership showrooms in January 2010, the second-generation Kia Sorento will go up against popular crossovers ranging from the five-passenger Chevrolet Equinox, Nissan Murano and Ford Edge up to seven-passenger crossovers like the Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot and Dodge Journey. The all-new Kia Sorento will come in three trim levels (LX, EX and EX V-6). According to Kia’s vice president of marketing, Michael Sprague, the 2011 Sorento’s expected volume seller will be the five-passenger Sorento LX FWD, and while the starting MSRP has yet to be announced, he said that the base LX will start under $20,000...

Pizza Wars: Why Auto Dealers need to be involved in Social Media

Have you seen the commercials? Domino’s pizza is running a social media campaign saying they realize they've made a few mistakes in the past but are willing to listen to the public and take their constructive
criticism. Then, they talk about how they made changes and then deliver the
reinvented pizzas to the people who critiqued them. These people then give
testimonials on how much better the pizzas are. Genius!

Bottom Line:

The Kia Forte has the proper qualifications on its resume: bold good looks, high-tech standard equipment, a bipolar approach to fuel economy and
